Before

We were thrilled when our long standing valued clients engaged us to collaborate with them on the design of their new chocolatier boutique shop in the heart of Galway.
The unit had previously been a beauty salon and had a super window and shop frontage perfectly located on the corner of two busy streets and at then end of a pedestrian area - just the most perfect location to showcase this stunning shop. Our starting point is alway spatial planning where we made the most out the space by reworking the existing stairs that projected too far into the space and located the workshop area at the rear of the building.

3D Drawing

When we have developed and finalised the spatial plans and layouts, the electrical and lighting, joinery details and finishes and fixtures we progressed to developing the drawings from 2D to 3D visual illustrations. Visuals and video walk through is so helpful for clients to see the completed project prior to commencing work on site and it is essential to help clients who find it difficult to visualise. We love to see our clients reactions when they see our visuals of their projects - for some it is like a light bulb moment and they become very excited and confident about their project.

On Going

From commencement right through to completion we attend regular site visits during the construction and build stages to ensure quality and attention to design details and finishes. Through out the build we are in regular contact with the contractors, suppliers and clients in order keep the project moving forward and to address any queries from site etc. On completion of site and build work we carry out a detailed snag list to ensure a high quality level of finishes. It is vital to achieve a high standard of finish at completion for the project to sustain a high finish going forward into the future.

Finished Project

The best feeling is when we walk back into a project that is completed. To see our creation come to life and finished for everyone else to see is the best feeling for any designer. It is the time when the design work spent at the very beginning and the selection of finishes and quality of tradespeople come together. It is when our clients get to see and experience what can often be months and sometimes years of work come to life. Our aim is always to create designs that exceed our clients expectations and to hear clients say this back to us is when we know it's a job well done! Our clients who own Truffles were so open and trusted our design ideas and really allowed us to create such a unique design and doing so they have a very special boutique shop indeed!
