Our Solution
Our brief was to design a basement and ground floor restaurant that transported you to Spain and to connect with all the senses on entering the restaurant. The restaurant spans from basement floor to ground floor so spatial planning was so important to get spot on and it was important that the floors connect and the atmosphere flowed between them.
A Spanish rustic bodega / wine cellar atmosphere was very important to create and we went about it by incorporating in our design attention to detail on joinery, specific materials, mood lighting and colour paint pallet. A combination of fixed and loose seating gives flexibility to intimate dining and large gatherings. This project was competed in 2012 and still looks and feels as good today as it did when it open first. A gem of a project in the heart of Galway.
